Santa Fe Deli is a great little place for breakfast and lunch and conveniently located for art gallery browsing or shopping. The deli is in a charming old adobe building down a few doors from its parent restaurant Cafe Santa Fe. The front of the building is a gallery for art and artesanias. The deli is behind the store in a nice little intimate courtyard. The courtyard is covered by an overhead trellace supporting a large bouganvilla and umbrellas. The simple rustic furniture is sufficiently comfortable.
Breakfasts are great. Very good egg dishes, waffles, pancakes, frittatas and fruit plates. The dishes are complimented by very good coffee, fresh juices and smoothies. Lunch is simple. Chiles Rellenos, a soup of the day, sandwiches and a cheese plate cover the selection. Service is reasonably good.
The restaurant is open from 8am until 3pm daily. No credit cards are accepted. Nor is there telephone service or email. Santa Fe deli is located on Calle Centenario in front of the police station near the square that fronts the church.
