Born in 1932 and raised in New Jersey. She received degrees at Bates College in Maine, Maryland and New York Medical College, New York. She is board certified in psychiatry and neurology. Margaret had private practices in Colorado and California.
Margaret retired in 1985 and took off with her husband, Bill, to cruise in their sailboat. She landed in Todos Santos and settled here in 1986 where she began her second career in art. Her art work started as a hobby of Tole painting and folk art. She always found joy and satisfaction in producing hand crafted clothing and gifts. Her affinity for sunlight and the outdoors along with a passion for vibrant colors and dramatic lighting continue today.
For several years she was known in Todos Santos as "the lady who painted cans". She expanded to painting ceramic tiles creating sets and murals with Baja themes. Through further study and exploration she expanded her repertoire into ceramics, drawing and painting. She studied watercolors in Guadalajara and added that art form to her portfolio of art.
