This small artesania shop is very well located on a corner across from the Hotal California and carries lots of arts and crafts as well as some general merchandise for passing tourists.
El Girasol handles a good selection of leaded and stained glass work which is normally not carried by other stores. Other artesanias run the gamut of Talavera ceramic work, Taxco silver jewelry, hand carved onyx and obsidian, wood carvings using the extremely hard ironwood, chess sets of onyx, pareos, hand blown glass and mirrors in various styles. Other merchandise includes post cards, posters, t-shirts, hats, cameras, camera film, sun tan oil, and more.
