This is one of the very typical artesania stores that we are all familiar with. El Datil is family owned and run by the Lopantzi Vazquez family. You get all the atmosphere including dirt floor, thatched roof and friendly traditionally Mexican service extended to all. A slice of real tourist Mexico.
The store carries a bit of nearly everything. Here you can find: serapes (or obijas); plenty of Talavera colorfully decorated ceramics; clay pottery; casual cotton clothing for women; onyx including game sets for chess, dominos and Chinese checkers; two types of vanilla; hats; necklaces and bracelets; bags woven from palm fronds; blankets and liqueur made from vanilla and damiana.
The store is open every day of the week from 10am to 6pm.
There are no telephones or email just stop by and bargain.
